Understanding the Criminal Justice System, Arrests, Jail, and Bail.
Bail is a word that describes the release of a criminal defendant or arrestee after an arrest before the end of the criminal case. The bond can but does not always involve the defendant or someone on the defendant’s behalf on paying cash to a court. The money makes sure that the defendant returns to court for the balance of the criminal justice method. Therefore, bail is not a punishment given before a person being accused guilty of any crime, but a way to make sure that criminal defendants return to court without the need of keeping them in custody the whole time.
An Essential Role in the Criminal Justice Process
Bail can play an essential role in the criminal justice process, as it serves to both limits the amount of jail space required, and guarantee that people who are free while their cases are ongoing will g back to court. People can be freed on bail at almost any degree in the criminal justice method, such as right after an arrest, or even after a court has issued a sentence.o
In general, any time a people are arrested there will be three possible consequences: the arrestee is freed, the arrestee is charged and released with bail, or the arrested people are charged and continues in custody until the case gets to an end. Bond is one-way people can be released from jail before a court determining guilt.
